Throughout my time in Zambia in December 2018, I spent my mornings teaching at The Linda Community School and most afternoons in the villages of Meloni and Mulala. These afternoons were some of the most precious and memorable moments of my trip. I was fortunate enough to spend quality time with local Zambians and exchange stories, share a meal together, and laugh. There was not a road I walked down where there wasn't a child smiling and waiting to give me a high five; or screaming out, "Muzungu" (white person) with a huge smile on their face. I think about the people of this community on a daily basis to remind me that no matter how great, or how rough your life may be, a smile can change everything.
